My approach is informed by a combination of scientific research including developmental and attachment research, autism research, early intervention research, and parent-child psychotherapy research. I strongly believe that early identification and early intervention are the key to making the biggest difference in a child's development. However, I also see older children, adolescents and adults for diagnosis.
Autism Diagnosis: Standardized research-based autism assessment using "Gold Standard" tools and best-practice guidelines; Identifying both a diagnosis and areas of strength and challenges for targeted interventions; Providing a detailed report with specific recommendations for treatment. Ages: Toddlers to Adulthood.
Contracts and consultation: Providing contract services to organizations and agencies that provide early intervention, mental health and integrated care of young children; also provide consultation, training and supervision of staff and interns interested in gaining experience and training in autism diagnosis, developmental/relationship-based evidence-based treatment for autism spectrum disorder, and early childhood mental health.
Autism Treatment: (I am no longer providing therapy at this time). I am a DIR/Floortime Certified Provider, (and also use principles from the Early Start Denver Model). In May 2016 - I also attended a 2-day intensive training on The P.L.A.Y. Project - An evidenced-based autism early intervention program - based on the same principles of DIR/Floortime. Ages: Toddlers t0 5 years.
